My Very First Blog!! Thank you Linda - Lindyloo.

Well, I have finally plucked up the courage to start a blog. I have no idea what on earth I am doing! Have I completely lost my mind? Very likely, but hey, let's give it a go!

I have visited so many blogs, and become a follower of quite a few, but never dreamed that one day I would have one too. The wonderful Linda from Creative Harmony has encouraged me so much, but I always shied away. However, now I think I need to get out of my comfort zone and try something new. So thank you Linda!! Or maybe I will be saying at some point - "It's all Linda's fault!" lol.  I am only joking of course, you really have been an inspiration to me Linda. The fact that you have so kindly showcased my cards (and those of other non-bloggers) has been a spur to me.

I have a great fondness for quotes and I am sure you will find them popping up in my blog every now and again.  One that springs to mind at the moment is : ""Life does not require that we be the best, only that we try our best." H Jackson Brown Jr
Going forward I think I will take this as my mantra when I worry that everybody's blog is terrific and how did I ever think my work was good enough to put out on a blog!

Well, enough talk. I hope to be back tomorrow with a piece of work to show. And let's hope that somebody  actually comes  by to take a look!

Have a great day everyone.

Best wishes from Christine x

Hi Christine,
well done and congratulations on this exciting new venture. You and Sue have just pipped me to the starting post so to speak. I am just about to design my web page or I should say my hubby is, baring any other things that might get in the way. It's all new to me too. I am still a bit of a techno foe, can't even work out how to get my picture up on the blogs when I leave a comment. So as you see I need lots of help.
On reading your profile I see you have done The London to Brighton bike ride quite often. My son did it for the first time this year. I hope your blog is very successful. Have a wonderful crafty day everyone.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

Thanks Jenny. Like you I am a techno phobe too but I took my courage in both hands and followed the step by step guide. Linda gave me a few tips too. Okay, it looks quite basic compared to other blogs but it does the job. I'm sure everything will go really well for your new venture too! I'll be keeping my eyes open watching for it!! Have a good day! Christine

Well hello and welcome to the world of blogging; what I like to call 'My International Community Creativity Diary'! (bit of a mouthful but it works).
I hope you have fun, no I demand you have fun (oh check me out, bossy now...lol!).
I am with everyone in that I look forward to following along with you on your creative journey. I see our lovely Jenny has let the cat out if the bag and told you about her blog too. Isn't it exciting, our little community is growing into a town! LOL!!!
Thank you for all your praise, I am just so pleased to have been of some help as I myself have had help from others within our friends and followers. Thats why I call it our community because everyone seems willing to help each other and I love it!
Anyway I've babbled enough, best wishes dear friend. Hugs Linda

Hi Linda, this is all down to you and I shan't tire of saying it! You're absolutely right, our little community is growing into a town. Isn't it great that so many of us are taking the plunge and setting out on our own? You must be starting to feel like a mum who's kids are leaving home! But never fear - we will be there always, not just with the dirty washing. Lol!
Obviously I won't be responding to every comment in future but today I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has shown their support for me!

Hi Christine,
It's me again. I really am a techno phobe because I think your spelling of it looks the right way to me, silly me I used to be so good at spelling, but lately I have to have a pocket speller by my side always. Well that's age for you or that's my reasoning, and also I have problem with my eyes, to cut it short I have cysts in the back of the eyeballs. This means I loose a letter or number when reading, and straight lines look wiggly to me. So it take me a long time to read peoples blogs, and type and read my comments. So if I make a mistake along the way when commenting you will know what's wrong, and please excuse any mistakes.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

Hi Jenny, I responded to your comment, which also comes through on the email. Since it is not showing here, I am assuming it went to your email address. Basically I was just apologising if you thought I was picking you up - it was the furthest thought in my mind, and you must think me terribly rude. Sorry about that! Take care and enjoy the rest of your day! C x

Thanks Carole, I think I'm going to enjoy it! Christine x

Hi Christine,
no I didn't think you were rude. I was just picking up on my really bad spelling, and glad I could see how it was spelt properly. I will always remember how to spell it in future. So I've learnt something today. I am always eager to learn. To think I never used a computer till about 3years ago.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

Hi Christine, have just popped over from Lindyloos blog (isn't she just the best?) to say many congratulations on your new blog and will be following you too to get as much inspiration and help (which I badly need) as possible. I admire you taking the plunge as I do not think I will ever be good enough or confident enough to have my own blog but hey you never know! As Linda said go girl go and have great fun along the way!
Love & best wishes Christine H xx

Well until a few days I felt exactly that way too Christine. It's not a case of being good enough or I would never have gone down this route! Just take a look at the quote I put in my text! And I'm hoping my confidence will grow as time passes. I've seen your cards showcased by Linda so I know you could do this too! Maybe one day ....... Thnks for paying me a visit. Love from Christine x

Hi Christine and welcome to blogland, I felt like you when I first started, not even a year ago, but now I feel like a fully fledged blogger!!! I have seen your cards on Linda's blog and they are more than worthy of a blog of their own. I hope you have a terrific time as you wander around the crafting community blogs, we are quite a friendly bunch really!!
