Friends

Hi everybody.  I have had such a busy day  that although I made my card in the morning, by the time I had chance to take the pictures it was dark and the results are pretty rubbish. The flash, as well as reflecting off the embossed text, just made it very shadowy so in the end I took these in the kitchen - still reflection but no shadows.  I'll probably try again in the morning and replace them if they are better.

The card slightly open to show the cut out.

Showing inside the card.

The card is 6 x 6 white cardstock and I covered the front with taupe coloured paper and a blue and brown floral backing paper. I diecut a circle with Spellbinders standard circles  then matted the cut out with a diecut
lacy circle frame made from Bazzill Basics card in a colour called Sugar Daddy!! The flowers are from WOC and Hobby House and the leaves are Spellbinders Foliage. I popped taupe coloured pearls from Meiflower into the corners. I used the same backing paper to line inside the card. I stamped the sentiment in brown and then embossed it in a pearl powder, diecut with the standard circles onto Bazzill Basics - this one called Blank Check, and mounted onto the contrasting lacy circle. Wherever do they get these names from?

By the way - I have found my gold tassels!!!! They had somehow got caught up with the dies and I found them today when I was getting out the foliage dies. So now I can change the ribbon on bookmark card!

Well I hope you have a good day.

Love from Christine x

Thank you for visiting my blog and for the comments you leave.  I really do appreciate

Hi honey. I love the way you've done this card with the aperture and the foliage. It's stunning. The patterned paper and die cuts really go well with everything. Very sophisticated, I just love floral cards. Hugs xxx

So glad you found your tassles Christine!!!! This is a lovely card but I am amazed it only took a morning, did you have the idea already in your head or was it a spur of the moment card??? I started my last Twinchie last night as was still faffing around with it at lunchtime today!!!

Love the colours of the card - it's lovely that there is a frame around the aperture. Those flowers just work perfectly with the shades used.

Hugs to you
