Buttons and Bows at OSAAT

Good morning to you all.  I'm a day late with my DT card for OSAAT. I was so busy with all the stuff for the WI events over the last 10 days or so that I very quickly had to make a card for the Christmas Card Club and OSAAT.  I was a bit too quick for my own good ... lol!  I looked at the wrong week on both challenges and actually made a card for each challenge using the wrong image and theme!  What a dork!!   At least I am prepared for two weeks time.

My Card

Recipe
5" x 7" base card from pearlescent card stock
blue pearlescent card for matting
backing paper - Summer Harvest from Panda Bear Designs
Floral Ovals die - Spellbinders
sentiment stamp - JustRite
ribbon and buttons from stash

This paper was ideal to make a very quick card!  I stamped the sentiment onto another paper from the pack which I had printed onto card stock. The grosgrain ribbon bow looks a totally different colour to the strip across the centre whereas in real life it is almost exactly the same.  I was congratulating myself on matching real ribbon to the paper ribbon strip and then I saw the photo! Weird!

Please hop across to the blog to see what my teamies have made.  If you decide to join the challenge you could win $10 to spend in store.

We had a very good night at our Craft Fayre on Thursday evening but I was pretty exhausted at the end of the evening. I spent the morning baking mince pies and Victoria sponges to sell on our WI produce stall.  We had about 25 other stall holders as well as my own stand and the WI produce stand and we had to set everything up in advance and then put the hall to rights afterwards. Phew!  But we had a very good night and made quite a profit, which will be going to our centenary fund.

Then Friday was  our trip out to Worcester Victorian Christmas Market.  What a fabulous day!! The weather was very cold but bright and sunny and the market was wonderful.  I will definitely be making the trip again next year.

Well that's all from for today.  Hope you are all well.

Take care.

Recycling for OSAAT

Good morning to you all and I hope this finds you well. Today's post is my DT card for the OSAAT challenge "Recycling".

My Card

Recipe
6" square card  made from Rymans dark blue card
backing paper - LOTV Frosty Christmas (discontinued)
image - Lake in Winter Stitchy Stamps
sentiment stamp - Penny Black
recycled ribbon

I really love this image. It actually comes black and white but I changed it digitally to blue to convey the icy, wintry feel. Lashings of glitter added to the feel.  I felt the image was so serene that I didn't want to add embellishments and spoil it. My sister saves lots of bits from cards, gifts etc that she receives in case I can use any of it and this is where the lovely navy and silver ribbon comes from.  Thank you Jeanie!

Please pop over to the blog and see the inspiration from the rest of the team and maybe you will be inspired to join us. You could win $10 to spend instore.

Take care and enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Halloween Colours

Good morning to you all on this wet and windy Sunday morning.  Well, that's what the weather is dong in Oxfordshire at any rate!

Please scroll down if you are looking for my Christmas Card Club card.

This week at One Stitch At A Time our challenge is to use halloween colours. You don't need to make a halloween card just as long as use colours associated with halloween - balck, purple, orange etc.

My Card

The paper I used is a very old freebie from Bearly Mine. The image is "Halloween Broom" from Crafty Girl Creations and can be found instore here. I coloured with Promarkers.  The black cat is from clipart and fussy cut.

Please pop over to the blog and check out the rest of the DT cards and maybe you will be inspired to join in the challenge.   You could win a $10 dollar coupon to spend instore at Stitchy Bear Digital Stamp Outlet.

Well tht's all from me today. Take care and have a good day

We had a very long gossip session over brunch as you can imagine.  Hope it wasn't too much for you Ang and that you didn't overdo it! Today is a day for you take things easy or Mr D will not let you loose again! Hope his cold is well and truly on the mend.

Using Lace and Pearls for OSAAT

Good morning to you all.  Here is my DT card for OSAAT challenge # 270 Anything goes With Lace and/or Pearls.  Another simple card for me because time seems to be slipping away from me- and I think Mr Mojo must have taken the trip up north with me decided to stay on with my sister!

Please scroll down if you are looking for my Christmas Card Club card.

My Card

Recipe
5 x 7 " white base card - Hobbycraft Card stock
purplepearlescent card - Jellybean Crafts
nacking paper - French Lavender from Papermania
Labels 16 - Spellbinders
Digi Image - Stitcher Fae from Stitchy Stamps
lace - local haberdashery shop
pearls - Docrafts
Promarkers to colour

I wanted to use the largest die for the image but that meant I didn't have one for matting, so after printing the digi, I coloured the edge of the die with ink and then carefully die cut the image.   Looks just the same but one less layer so hopefully it will be flat enough for posting.  I haven't added a sentiment yet because I'm not sure wha,t or who, it will be for.

Please pop over to the blog and check out the work of the rest of Stitchy's Angels and you might decide to join us in our challenge.  A nice easy one this time and this is the prize you could win.

Hope everybody is well and enjoying the weekend.

Take care.

A Bag or Box for OSAAT

Good morning to you all.  This post is scheduled because we have family staying with us this week. Hopefully it will appear at the right time.  If I get chance I will check later in the day to be sure. Today it is Challenge # 268 at OSAAT and we would love you to join us.

My Project

Recipe
Double sided cardstock - Crafters Companion
Image  Poppy - Stitchy Stamps
Classic Oval Large dies - Spellbinders
Oval Bliss die - Spellbinders
Ribbon - local haberdashery store

I used my We R Memory Keepers Bag Punch Board to make the bag. I had to make some adjustments because my cardstock was too big but I wanted a very large bag.  I also folded back the top to give a nice effect.  The image is actually black and white but I altered it digitally to brown and printed it on sand coloured card stock so everything would marry together, and I really like the effect.

Please pop over to the blog and see the creations of my teamies and this is the prize you could win if you care to join us.

Hope everybody is well.  Take care.

Use Of Dies for OSAAT

Good day to you all and hope you are enjoying this lovely weather.  Unfortunately according to the weather forecast it won't last.  I must admit I will be pleased if it is a little cooler because I struggle with the heat and find it difficult to sleep.

Please scroll down to the previous post if you are looking for my Christmas Card Club entry.

I think the hot weather must have addled my brain because I made my project for this challenge using the wrong theme - I was looking at next time's challenge!  I didn't realise until I went to add my creation to the OSATT file - horror of horrors!!!!!  The bonus is that I am ready for the next one - the bad part was having to get a card ready in a rush!   Luckily the theme was to use dies, and in the image pack I had chosen was a pre-coloured one so I managed to get it done.  Because I did it in a rush I decided to leave off a sentiment till I knew what it would be for.  I think I will probably add a bow too.

My Card

Recipe
Pink card - HunkyDory Adorable Scorable
Lilac card - Hobbycraft
Elegant Labels 4 - Spellbinders
Labels 4 - Spellbinders
Image - Flower Scented Candle by RSP
pearls from stash

Please hop over to the blog and check out what the rest of the DT have come up and maybe you will be inspired to join in the challenge and perhaps win the prize.

Take carde and enjoy the rest of the weekend.

One Stitch At A Time - Anything goes With Nature

Good morning to my friends and fellow bloggers, and if you have arrived by mistake, or by chance, you are very welcome.  Please leave a comment and if you have a blog I will visit you in return.

Please scroll down to the previous post if you are looking for my Christmas Card Club entry.

Time for another challenge at OSAAT and this time it is "Anything Goes ... With Elements Of Nature".  Now that is a really wide brief so you can go with trees, flowers, animals, birds etc. As you can see I have gone with a bird.

My Card

Recipe
6" base card - Papermania card stock
grey pearlescent card stock - Pennies Worth
DSP - "Feathered Friends"  Coosty Creations
image - "Feathered Friends" Coosty Creations
black feathery fibre - from stash
card candi - Craftwork Cards

I have been pretty busy lately with a lot going on so my cards are tending to be fairly simple, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I think this will make a great male card so will make a good addition to my box.  I have plenty of cards in there - but never enough masculine cards!

"Feathered Friends" by Coosty Creations can be found here in the store  There are four papers as well as the digi image in the set so a great pack to have. Why not visit the blog and you might be inspired by the projects of the design team to enter the challenge. This is waht you could win.

I hope you enjoy the rest of the weekend.  Take care.

Sunburst Card

Good morning.  Hope this finds you all well. Yesterday  we decided to go for a bike ride. John got the bikes out whilst I was serving up lunch so that we could be on our way after lunch.  And then it got very, very dark, rolling thunder and the heavens absolutely emptied!  What a deluge. I'm glad we decided on lunch first otherwise we would have been out in it.  Ah, the joys of the British summer.

Please scroll down if you are looking for my CCC card

Today's card is my DT card for the OSAAT challenge "Anything Goes With Flowers".

My Card

Recipe
6" square base card - Papermania card stock
Papers - "Spring Blossom" pack from Panda Bear Designs
Circle die - Spellbinders
Stamp - Petaluma
Ribon and pearl  - from stash

I saw this technique on Splitcoast Stampers and decided I would give it a go. I think it looks so pretty and very easy to do.  I will certainly be dong it again.

Why not pop across to the blog and find out what my teamies have made and perhaps you might feel inspired to join the challenge? This is what you could win so why not have a go?

Well that's it from me today.  I hope you enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Take care.

A Greek Window

Good morning.  I'm sorry that I have been missing all week but we booked a very last minute holiday and went up to Scotland.  We were so lucky and had glorious weather!  I packed lots of clothes for warm weather and wet weather but I did throw in a few teeshirts thankfully.  I never wore a cardigan or sweater the entire week.  We were in a fabulous cottage, with beautiful gardens, on the shores of Loch Ryan so it wouldn't have been a hardship to stay "at home" if the weather was bad. Luckily that was not the case.   I also managed to meet up with a friend who lives near Ayr,  We have known each other for about 35 years and rarely meet but when we do, my goodness you would think we had never been apart!!  John and Jim couldn't get a word in! A great afternoon and evening!

Anyway, my post today is my DT card for the  OSAAT  challenge "Layer It Up"  Now this is a really simple challenge so I'm sure many of you could add a card to it.

My Card

Recipe
7" base card from Anne Marie Designs
pink striped card stock - "Victorian Roses" from The Works
image - "Greek Window" by Ikes Art
corner die - "Austrian Collection" Sue Wilson
Promarkers to colour
pearls - ancient stash

Eventually my card came together well, but I must admit I was struggling initially and realised that rushing to get it done before I went away wasn't working and decided that I would have to give this challenge a miss.  I tried again the next day and I guess because the pressure was gone it came together okay and I like the result. These card stacks fromThe Works are great value at £4 for  a 12 inch card stock.  In fact some are even £3. The dark pink mat behind the image is the reverse of the striped card.

Please pop over to the blog and see what my teamies have come up with.  If you decide to enter you could win $10 to spend in store.

Well that's it from me today.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend whatever you are doing - hopefully something nice!

Lavender And Lace For Grandma

Good morning to all my friends and fellow bloggers. I don't seem to have a  great deal of time to spend on the computer and in Blogland, at the moment, but when I get a few minutes I keep popping in. I have also had a problem with my computer  when my virus software detected a threat.  It isolated/closed down my search engine and a couple of other programmes that I use on a regular basis to contain the threat.  I was starting to panic a bit!  However, all is well again and it dealt with  the threat and I'm up and running again. Phew!

OSAAT has another challenge starting today and the theme is "Anything Goes With Vintage." I am using "Grandma's Cookies" from Digi Blessings. This image comes with a sentiment too but I chose not to use it this time. I was thinking this would make a nice Christmas card and the sentiment is "Grandma's never run out of hugs or cookies."

My Card
