Holiday Either Home or Abroad at IAAS

Good morning and welcome to  a new challenge at IAAS

If you are looking for my CCC card please scroll down to previous post.

My Card

This is a 7"square base card. I came across a paper pad that I bought some years ago at the NEC and I have hardly used.  I decided it would be perfect for this challenge. It is called "Harbour Boulevard" from Craftwork Cards. I took three sheets of the paper. I used one with the anchor as the first mat. I then fussy cut the lighthouse from another sheet and finally fussy cut the shells from yet another piece.  I computer generated the sentiment and mounted it using Presscut Ovals and Stitch Dot Ovals.

Why not pop over to the blog and check out what my team mates have made for the challenge?

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Music at Christmas Card Club

Hello and I hope this finds you well.   Today I am showing my card for our Christmas Card Club - a little group of us who just like to get ahead with our Christmas card making. Our challenge this time is Music.

My Card

My card is a 6"square red base card made from Ryman's card stock and matted with white Ryman's card stock. The music die is "Holly Jolly Music Border" from Yvonne Creations. The sweet image is from Ruth Moorehead. I am keeping the majority of my cards flat to avoid extra postage costs - it's expensive enough!

Take care and enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Using Toppers at International Art and Soul

Well here I am for my third post in three days. This time it is my DT card for IAAS where the challenge is to use a pre-made topper. What could be more simple?  I'm sure we will have many entries this time.

If you are looking for my CCC card please scroll to previous post.

My Card

I bought this Hunkydory Magazine kit just before Christmas. I had actually finished my cards but I loved the gorgeous gnome images so decided to buy it and use it for this year's cards. The backing card was cut down from one of the A4 sheets of cardstock in the pack. Yet another very simple, but effective, card.

Why not pop across to the blog and check out what the other ladies have made for the challenge.

Take care.

Christmas Card Club - Baubles/Decorations

Good morning and hope this finds you well.  It's time for another challenge for our ladies in the Christmas Card Club. Today we are dedicating our posts to one of our dear friends, Shaz, who chose this theme but very sadly passed away in February. We miss her lovely posts and all the information she gave us on her blog. Rest in peace Shaz. Our thoughts are with her husband Doug.

My Card

I have made a set of six CAS cards using pre-coloured images from Fred She Said. I printed them onto linen card stock, diecut them using Presscut Stitch and Dot rectangles before mounting them onto linen card bases. I used peel off greetings (remember them? 😀😃) on the first three but decided to stamp sentiments onto the last three cards when my eyes are totally back to normal otherwise I risk wonky stamping which would ruin the look totally.

I am really pleased with the look of these.  Perhaps I'll be doing more CAS cards since they are ideal at Christmas when there are so many to make.

Have a lovely weekend. According to the forecast here in the UK (but can we believe that!!) we are in for a heatwave over the next ten days.

Take care.

Christmas Birds at Winter Wonderland

Good morning and it's time for another challenge at Winter Wonderland.  The theme this month is Christmas Birds and we are sponsored by Imagine That Digi Stamps.

My Card

I have used Flamingo Christmas from our sponsor. I had eye surgery a month ago and I am still struggling a wee bit but this set has a precoloured images as well as papers and sentiments so it made it very simple to make a card. I used an image and paper but not the sentiment.

Please pop over to the blog and check out what my team mates have made and you may be inspired to join in the challenge.

Take care and have a good day.

The 12 MoC LinkUp Merry Christmouse

Good morning. It's time for a new challenge at 12 Months of Christmas LinkUp where you can win a free paper simply by entering. However, if you follow the optional twist, which this month is to use a mouse or mice, on your card, then you have the chance to win two images from our sponsor Hetty Clare.

My Card

I have used an image from our sponsor called Christmouse Wishes. These little mice are so cute. The backing paper is from DD Doodles.

Why not pop over to the blog where you will find some inspiration from the Sleigh Belles and on June 15th there will be more to inspire you from the Merry Maidens? This is a great way to forge ahead with your Christmas cards so you didn't end up panicking at the end of the year.

Take care and have a good day.

Art Deco at Moving Along With The Times

Good morning and I hope you all had a good Bank Holiday weekend if you are in the UK. It is time for a new challenge at MAWTT and the theme, chosen by Ang, is Art Deco.

My Card

This Hunkydory image is one of my favourites and sentiment is great. This is from a Hunkydory book and I have already used it three times and I think there is one remaining. I have made it into a 7" square card. The colours of her gown are gorgeous so I picked out the teal to mat and layer in  pearlescent and glitter card. I think the lavender pearlescent card toned nicely and so I just added the feather and bow.

Please pop across to the blog and see what my team mates have made for this challenge.  They are all super.

Take care.
