Pink Christmas at IAAS

Good morning.  Time for another challenge at IAAS where the challenge is to make it pink.

If you are looking for my Christmas Card Club card please scroll down to previous post.

My Card

I made a step card with acetate for a change.  The pink paper isn't Christmas paper but it doesn't look too out of place. I found the diecuts when I was going through a box looking for something else and they were ideal for this. I stamped the sentiment onto the same paper and die cut with a Spellbinders die. A ribbon bow and a bit of glitter and that was it.  I must admit that I took the photo before the glue was quite dry and the sentiment slipped.  Fortunately I was able to push it back up before it dried totally.

Why not pop across to the blog and see what my teamies have made for the challenge?

Take care and enjoy your day.

Deer at the Christmas Card Club

Good morning every body and I hope you are all doing okay. I can scarcely believe that this the penultimate challenge for our little club in 2020. Considering this has been what Her Majesty once described as an Annus Horribilis I think it has actually flown by.  Gwen has chosen the theme which is deer.

My Card

This is a 6" square base card and although I really like the muted colours the photograph is not showing it at its best. The backing paper and topper are from the Paper Boutique's "Whisper of Winter" set. The pink card stock I used for the mat, the deer and the bauble is from Hobbycraft. The deer are from a John Next Door set and the bauble is Memory Box.

I am posting this a day early because I have a DT card to post tomorrow, so if you want to see the cards from the rest of the girls you will need to check on Sunday.

Well that's all from me. Take care!

Using a Stencil at Christmas Card Club

Good morning.  This time our little group have been challenged to use a stencil on our card. This is not something I usually do, and we always have the option to do "anything goes", but I like to challenge myself to get out of my comfort zone so this is only my second ever stencilled card.

My Card

I have had this stencil for years and this is now it's second outing. In fact I last used it back in 2016 for another CCC challenge. This time I used different colours and different dies and it seems to have worked out well.  I actually bought a new stencil especially for this challenge but I've been so busy with my WI crafting I didn't get chance to practice with it.  Still, that will be a pleasure for later.

Take care and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Things With Wings at Winter Wonderland

Good morning.  Hope this finds you all well.

Here at Winter Wonderland it's time for our penultimate challenge this year. The theme is "Things with Wings" and our sponsor is Sheepskin Designs.

My Card

My card is a 7" x 5" red base card, I have embossed white card with Sue Wilson's Falling Snow embossing folder and just added a strip of Scandi Snow paper from Lili of the Valley.  The image is Penguin Stack from our sponsor and coloured with Promarkers. The snowflake dies are from  Dovecraft.

I hope you all find plenty to keep you occupied and safe during this new lock down. If I am honest things won't be much different for us.  Due to John's health issues he has shielded for the most part with only the occasional trip out to walk along the river at Evesham and a walk through the grounds at Upton House, a National Trust property just a couple of miles away from us and where we were the only people there. Heaven.  I have continued to do my grocery shop, but at 7.30 in the morning when there are few people in the store.  I have always been an early bird so that suits me. I have also met with a couple of my WI friends in the village a few times but outside in their gardens where we could keep a very safe distance apart.

Anyway, stay safe and well!

Christma Flowers at MAWTT

Good morning.  It's the first of the month so time for a new challenge at Moving Along With The Times. Jenny  chose our theme this month and as you can see she wants to see Christmas Flowers.  Poinsettia tome are the quintessential Christmas flower.  I always buy a plant at Christmas - but I'm never successful at keeping them alive for too long. 😉😞

My Card

I love this image from Beccy's Place and used the Britannia poinsettia dies and ivy leaves from John Next Door to replicate the corner on the image. It fits so well inside the Spellbinders diecut.

Why not pop across to the blog and check out the cards made by the rest of the team?

Hope you are having a good weekend and not having too bad a time with the awful weather.

Take care.
