Challenge #88 Christmas Carol/Song

We have a new challenge at IAAS. The theme is to make a card based on a Christmas Carol or Song and it was chosen by me.

My Card

This is one of my favourite Christmas stamps and I use it a lot.  It looks so different depending on the colour and embellishments used.  It is Midnight Clear by Our Daily Bread Designs (now called Divinity Designs).

Why not pop across to the blog and check out what my teamies have produced.  It's quite inspirational to see the different songs/carols chosen and the various methods used to depict them.

The sun is shining here although it is quite chilly. Hopefully you are having some sun too.

Have a good day.

Penguins at Christmas Card Club

Good morning and I hope this finds you all well.  Another two weeks have rolled by and it's time for our little club to show what we have made.  The theme is Penguins and was chosen by Linda.

My Card

A very easy card today. I used a 6 inch square base card to form a zed fold.  The papers and topper are from Christmas Village by Helz Cuppleditch which I have had a couple of years but haven't actually used much from it. I didn't use all the layers from the decoupage, just enough to give it a 3D effect.

This is just a very quick post because I've got quite a lot on right now - busy time!

Take care and enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Tiny Things for IAAS

Good morning.  I scarcely believe that after not posting for two weeks here I am on my fifth day in a row.  I have been busily crafting and will show things when I get round to it but I have also been giving John a helping hand out in the field.

Anyway one of my lock down projects was this banner for WI - when we eventually manage to get together but that is looking pretty hopeless for some time yet.

Please scroll down to previous post if you are looking for my CCC post.

My Project

It was made using wooden letters I bought at the NEC last November with this in mind but never actually got round  to doing anything with them so this was a golden opportunity.  Each letter is 4" high so it will look fine when we eventually get it hung up. I painted them with Pinflair Buff-It paint which is so lovely to use.  I applied it with a cloth and then buffed it up, producing a really beautiful sheen. It was then easily decorated using stuff from my stash - tiny flowers, butterflies and dragon flies with an odd leaf here and there.  My plan was to use ribbon to hang it but I didn't have anything narrow enough so for the time being Bakers twine will suffice.

Why not pop across to the blog and see what "tiny things"my team mates have come up with.

Take care and stay safe and well. The lock down rules are relaxing but it's even more important to be vigilant now.  I'm going to be carrying on exactly as I'm doing; I don't want to jump into the pool just yet!

Christmas Trees at Christmas Card Club

Good morning.  It's not exactly summer weather right now is it? Jeans and sweatshirts in July - and we even lit the wood burner last night..

Today it's time for another challenge for our little club and  Shaz chose the theme this time.  She wants to  see Christmas trees.

My Cards

Two six inch square cards matted with sage green card from Limetree Crafts and the paper is from the Dovecraft Glad Tidings pack. The Christmas tree toppers were from the LOTV  Art Pads.

A very quick post today. Take care and have a good weekend.

At Winter Wonderland it's Hip to be Square

Good morning. It's time for a new challenge at Winter Wonderland and as you can see the theme is Hip to be Square which means we want to see square cards.  How easy could that be? Our sponsor is Fred She Said.

My Card

Recipe
6"square white base card - Rymans
green card stock - from stash
Noble Pierced Squares - Sue Wilson
sentiment die - Sue Wilson
Promarkers

I decided to keep my card CAS and I'm so glad I did because I really like it.  I just added a dash of colour with Promarkers on the pine sprays and bottoms of the pinecones.  Apart from adding the sentiment I did nothing else. My husband caught sight of it and said it looks classy.  Quite a compliment from him.

Why not pop over to the blog and check out the inspiration from the DT which may tempt you to join in our challenge. Please remember we are a Christmas challenge only so as well as being square your card must be a Christmas card.

Take care.

At The Beach with MAWTT

Good morning and I hope this finds you all well.  It's lashing with rain at the moment but I'm not too concerned since it saves the hassle of watering the garden,

Today is challenge 120 at MAWTT and the theme is At The Beach.

My Card

I have no beach images but I managed to find three different images in my graphics programme so I merged them into one and added a sentiment before printing it off.  I then mounted it onto blue card stock and a white base card.  Easy peasy.

Please pop over to the blog and check out the cards from the rest of the team.

Take care and stay safe.
