Reindeer at Winter Wonderland

It's time for another challenge at the Winter Wonderland Challenge Blog. The theme is Reindeer. However, we don't have a sponsor this month so this is a Just For Fun Challenge this time.

My Card

I used an A6 tartan base card and some die cuts, both from my box. I think they were from Hobbycraft, although quite some time ago. It was quick to make and flat for posting so ticks the boxes.

Why not pop over to the blog and check out what the rest of the team have made?

Take care and have a good day.

12 MoC Link Up Shimmer and Shine

Good morning.  Today is my card for the12 MoC of Christmas Link Up.  Our challenge is pretty unique in that you actually have the chance to win just by entering!  We also have a twist to our challenge which is Shimmer and Shine.  However you don't have to follow the twist to win.  Our sponsor is https://www.taylormadecards4u.com/

My Card

Recipe
6 " square green base card - Hobbycraft
image, label and plaid paper - Special Delivery Christmas Passport
red paper - Crumpled Chrome 1 from  Delicious Doodles
Sentiment - computer generated
Red Shimmer Gems - Hobbycraft

A very easy card to put together - and being flat for posting is always a bonus.

You can never start too soon when it comes to Christmas cards so why not pop across to the blog and maybe get some inspiration from The Sleigh Belles team?  In fact if you come back mid month you will get even more inspiration from the Merry Maidens.

Take care and enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Snowflakes for the Christmas Card Club.

Good morning.  It's time for another challenge at our little club which is not actually due until Sunday but I have another DT card to post then.

This time the theme was chosen by Gwen  and she wants to see snowflakes on our cards.  I actually have cards to show for two challenges today because I was so busy I was unable to make a card for Rachel's "Humour" challenge last time. I'm sorry for being so late Rachel but is here now.

Card 1

 Recipe
6 " square base card.
Snowflake frame - John Lockwood
large snowflake - Sweet Dixie
mirri and glitter card - Hobbycraft
glimmer dots - Hobbycraft

Card 2

Recipe
6" square base card
Image - Greeting Card Factory
Pierced Noble rectangles - Sue Wilson
Snowflake Frame - John Lockwood
snowflakes - X Cut Mini Dies
Silver mirri and Glitter card - Hobbycraft

For those of you who love the sun I'm sorry the weather has broken - but for my part I really welcomed the rain.  The gardens needed it and it has filled two of my five water butts.  Still need a lot more but hopefully it will rain overnight instead then we will all be happy.

Enjoy your weekend whatever you plan to do.

Snowy Forest Scene

Good morning.  Sorry this is a bit later than  I usually post.  I did actually schedule it, as I always do,  but for some reason it didn't work this time.

Kate chose the theme this time and wants to see a forest scene with lots of tree, snow and glitter.  Very wintry and Christmas-sy. Here is my offering; only one due to my busy couple of weeks recently.

My Card

Recipe
7" square white base card
green pearlescent card- Hunjydoey
green glitter card - Hobbycraft
backing paper  -the Paper Shelter
A2 bracket borders - Spellbinders
triple tree die - Memory Box
sentiment die - Sue Wilson

I love this paper and felt it didn't need too much else doing to it except adding glitter to the trees in the background and the diecut trees.

Hope this finds you all well and coping with the cold and wet weather.

Take care and enjoy the rest of your weekend.  I'm hoping for a quiet day today!

Mid Month Reminder 12 Months of Christmas Link Up

Good morning and hope this finds you  all well. Yesterday we had a trip to the Victorian Christmas Market at Gloucester Docks with my WI friends on a couple of mini buses.  The weather had been so bad on Thursday with many of the roads in the neighbouring villages badly flooded so we did wonder if we would actually make it.  However, the floods receded overnight but we still had to make a number of detours before we were able to get well on the way. It is about 80 miles to Gloucester and all along the way many fields and garden etc were flooded.  I really feel for those poor people in Yorkshire.

Anyway, back to business. I don't usually post mid months for 12 MOC but I have joined the Merry Maidens for this challenge so here we go. Our sponsor is Imagine That Digis.

My Card

The first image is the card virtually closed and the second shows it open.

Recipe
6" square zed fold card - made using kraft card from Hobbycraft
All images pre coloured digis -  Imagine That "Gingerbread Scenes."
papers - Decosses Dynamite Doodles
sparkly gems - Hobbycraft

This was a fun card to make. If you still have some Christmas cards to make why not pop over to the blog join in the challenge?  You have the chance to win an digi paper just for entering the challenge, but if you follow the optional twist which is to use red and green on your card, and that's not too difficult at Christmas, then you have the chance to win a $12 gift certificate to spend in store.  What are you waiting for?

Also don't forget to vote for your favourite paper from this month's set
http://12monthsofchristmaslinkup.blogspot.com/2019/11/vote-for-novembers-free-digi-paper.html
Everyone who links up a minimum of two cards will receive one paper from this set and one random winner who follows the twist will win the full set of papers.
Well that's all from me.

Take care.

Icicles for Christmas Card Club

Good morning and I hope you are all well.   Lorraine is our host at the Christmas Card Club and she wants to see icicles. My cards today are very simple because they were pretty last minute.

I've had an extremely busy week for card making. I had three sympathy cards to make for WI.  Our president, Jacqui, lost her mum suddenly earlier in the week.  Lilian was also the post mistress in the village for many years and was still working so she will be a great loss to the village. Jacqui and her sister both work in the shop and, being the business it is, they had to keep it open this week so you can imagine how difficult it has been for them.

I also had two cards to make for one of our members who has just been diagnosed with breast cancer. Her daughter is also one of our members. It has been quite a difficult week all round. As I had a couple of DT cards to make too I have been rather pushed!!

My Cards

Both cards are 6" square and feature images from the Paper Shelter. The first one is "The Most Adorable Snowmen" and the second one is "For Santa". They are both mounted on glitter card from Hobbycraft. The icicle die is by Joy!Crafts. I die cut it from plain card then used Creative Expressions Fluffy Stuff and Papermania glitter to make the icicles really icy.

I'm sorry this is such a short post but I still have a couple more DT cards which are due in the next few days so I think I'd better get cracking! That will be eleven cards in a week!! Phew! I'll show some of them in future posts.

Take care.

Use Kraft at 12 Months of Christmas

Good morning and it is time again for another challenge at the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up.

Our sponsor this time is Patti's Creations and the winning prize, if you followed the twist, is three digi images from her Etsy store.  You also have chance to win something just from entering the challenge so don't hang around.

My Card

Recipe
6" square base card
kraft card - Hobbycraft
red and green striped paper - Decosse's Dynamite
sentiment on globe - computer generated
sentiment die  - Sue Wilson
icicle die - Joy!Crafts
Promarkers to colour
red shimmer gems - Hobbycraft

Although there is an optional twist to the challenge if you would like to follow it,  mainly the idea is somewhere for you to link up all your Christmas cards throughout the year. The  twist  this time is to use kraft card/paper on your card.  The Sleigh Belles are showing their cards now and mid month you will find more inspiration from the Merry Maidens so you should check back then.

Why not go over to the blog and see the cards from the other Sleigh Belles.  This is a good chance to get ahead with your Christmas cards because the year is simply flying by now!

Take care.

Non Traditional Colours for Christmas Card Club

Good morning to you all.  First of all I must apologise to my friends in the Christmas Card Club for being a day late. I 've had a busy week with my family here and also four DT cards to produce! Anyway I am here finally.

Card #1

Card # 2

These two cards are very simple 6" square cards using images from the Hunkdory Little Book of  of Festive Poetry.  I am determined to us this as much as possible.

Card # 3

 Recipe
Decided to make a rocker card for a change.
Papers and topper are from The Paper Boutique "A Whisper of Winter".  I love this set and the muted colours are perfect for Sylvie's challenge.
round dies - Spellbinders Grand Nestabilities Decorative Circles
stitch hole round die - Presscut from Crafts Too
Tonic Nuvo drops

Card # 4 For Rachel

This final card is for Rachels' reindeer challenge which I missed when I was on holiday back in June.  Sorry it has taken so long but I got there eventually!

Recipe
6" square base card
papers and topper as before
reindeer die - magazine freebie
shimmer gems - Hobbycraft

When I saw this topper with the reindeer I knew it would be perfect for Rachel's challenge.

Well that's it for now.  Hope you all had a great weekend and feel refreshed and ready to start the new week.

Take care.

Dry or Heat Embossing for IAAS

Good morning.  Here I am for the fourth day in a row. Christina (CG) has chosen the theme of "Embossing - Dry or Heat" for IAAS.  I've gone with dry embossing.

My Card

Recipe
pearlescent cardstock - Lime tree Crafts
E/F -3D embossibilities Framed Labels 18
Labels 18 die - Spellbinders
sentiment stamp - "You Never Know" Quietfire Designs
flowers - Hobbycraft

This is a 7" x 5"  embossing folder so I made the base card as tent fold measuring an extra half inch all round. I attached the embossed piece with foam pads. I love the sentiment because it is so true and I have found it to be very useful on a number of occasions.

Well this is just a very quick post because I have family staying and it has been a busy and hectic week but so very enjoyable. We have been very lucky with the weather and so have been out and about quite a lot.

We are Just For Fun Challenge but why not pop across to the blog and see what the rest of the team have come up with?

Take care and enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Gingham or Buttons for MAWTT

Good morning.  Time for another challenge at MAWTT for Team A.  Kaz wants to see gingham or buttons.  As you can see I have gone with gingham and instead of a card I have made a milk carton which contains a blue candle in a glass votive. Handy to have a little gift already prepared for when needed.

My Project

Recipe
gingham cardstock - old stash
diecuts - Parisian Motif (or maybe the accents) Spellbinders
leaf sprigs - foliage Spellbinders
blue roses - old stash
thistles - old stash
organza ribbon - Hobbycraft

As you can see I added embellishments to all four sides but not as elaborate as the front. It's quite a while since I did one of these and it is so quick and easy that I might prepare a few more to have on hand.

Why not pop across to the blog and check out what the rest of the team have made?

I cannot believe it's already Thursday!  Last time I looked it was only Sunday!!! Time flies when you're having fun ... lol!  😀😁

Take care and I hope everyone is well.
