Challenge # 65Deck The Paws

A new challenge has been posted at the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up.  Our challenge is always Anything Goes as long as it is Christmas but as usual we have a twist, and this time it to feature a cat or dog prominently on your card. In doing so you will be eligible to win this month's paper pack. However, just by entering you could also win the prize from our sponsor and this time it is Ike's Art.

My cards are like buses - none for ages then three in a row!

My Card

Recipe
6" square base card
red card stock - Rymans
backing paper - Decosses Dynamite
image - Xmas Kat Tree -Ike's Art
holly corners - Joanna Sheen Signature dies
promarkers to colour

I really love this paper and it is perfect for the card with the baubles on the floor round the tree.

Why not pop across to the blog and check out what the other Sleigh Belles have made for this challenge, and on May 15th the Marry Maidens will be providing even more inspiration for you.

Take care and stay safe.

Baubles for Christmas Card Club

Good morning and hope this finds you well. For the first timer ever I totally lost track of the days this week and in fact was a day ahead of myself from Thursday. John takes his lead from me so when I cooked fish and chips on Thursday, thinking it was Friday, he assumed it was Friday as well and I only realised on Saturday evening when I apologised to the leader of  our blog IAAS for being a little tardy entering my card into the post.  I made her think twice too!!

Anyway, the lovely Kate chose our theme this week and she wants to see a bauble or baubles on our cards.

My Card

Recipe
6" square base card
Mirri card - stash
Falling Snow e/f - Sue Wilson
Noble pierced squares - Sue Wilson
Bauble - The Works
Holly Corner die - Joanna Sheen

As usual mirri card is notoriously difficult to photograph.  Despite my best efforts this was the best I managed - and even then my bright pink Tshirt is reflected at the bottom

We have had some lovely weather of late and I have been helping John outside.  I'm sure he thinks he is Capability Brown, but I must admit he is doing a good job so I shouldn't mock.

If you want to see the cards from the other girls check out my sidebar for their details.

Take care and stay safe.

Christmas Critters for Christmas Card Club

Good morning and here we are already at Challenge # 8 for our little club.  Maureen chose the theme and she wants to see Christmas Critters. Now the dictionary definition of critter is " a living creature". My first card certainly shows creatures you would associate with Christmas but perhaps not so for my second card. Well I'm showing a creature, it's Christmas, and it's bit of fun.

Card #1

Recipe
6" square white base card
red and blue card from stash
patterned paper - "Home for Christmas" Papermania
Geese toppers/stickers - Rymans
small poinsettias - Wild Orchid Crafts
Sentiments - computer generated

The geese are glittery stickers and very old stash which I came across and thought would be ideal for the challenge.

Card # 2

Recipe
6" square white base card
papers - "Snow Princess" LOTV
digi image - Eleanor and Pickles from Lacy Sunshine
holly corner dies - Joanna Sheen
sentiment - computer generated
promarkers to colour

I came across this digi image when I was looking for something else on my external hard drive aad thought it might be a bit of fun. Pickles looks like a very grumpy frog. I wonder if Santa didn't bring him everything he wanted?

Hope everybody is staying safe and well.  I'm getting plenty of walking in and now the weather is so good it is even more enjoyable.  I've asked John to get my bike out and give it a going over so I can alternate between cycling and walking.

Anyway take care and enjoy the sunshine.

Festive Food

Good morning.  Happy St Patrick's Day and also happy birthday to my brother Morgan - an Englishman, born on the Irish Saint's Day and christened with a Welsh name.

Here we are again at the Christmas Card Club.  These two weeks come round so quickly.  This time the theme is Festive food chosen by Lorraine.

My Cards
 #1

#2

 #3

All three cards are 6" square and are what I think of as my "bread and butter"cards.  In other words simple, flat cards which are cheaper to post.  I save my other cards for special friends and family members when I can go to town.

The first card uses an image from the Paper Shelter and then I added a holly corner from Joanna Sheen Signature die and some pearls. The other two are using images from the same Hunkydory pad as I used last time. I also used a Marianne poinsettia die in the corners. I must thank Lydia for the tip she gave about looking at Ebay for taster packs.  I have checked them out and think it is a great way because although ot might be a little more expensive initially you save in the long run by not ending up with loads that you won't use. I didn't actually buy any Hunkydory, but I did buy some taster toppers and papers from Helz Cuppleditch so thanks again Lydia.

Gosh the last few days have been really wild!  I do so hate wind because it can be so destructive. It has also been very cold but no rain or snow, unlike those in the far north and also Wales.  I think next week is supposed to improve - if you can believe it.

Well that's all from today and I hope you are all well.

Take care.

Angels 0r Fairiesfor Christmas Card Club

Good morning.Thankfully the snow seems to be thawing although there is still quite a bit hanging around. I'm glad I do't live in Scotland at times like these - much as I love it.

Time for another Christmas card for our little club.  This time GranMargaret has chosen the theme and as you can see she wants to see angels or fairies.  I have gone with angels.

My Card

 Recipe
7" square base card Anna-Marie Designs
backing paper - Silent Night  from First Edition
Die'sire e/f - Seasonal Music
stamp - Angelic Candle  LOTV
sentiment stamp -Little Claire
holly corner die - Signature die Joanna Sheen
Promarkers tocolour
flowers -Wild Orchid Crafts
Lacy Circle dies - Spellbinders
lace and pearls from stash

I haven't used this rubber stamp for years and I don't know why because it is gorgeous. I have had this First Edition paper pad for a number of years and there is not much left of it now, which is sad. I'm trying to make a point of using some papers dies, stamps etc that I haven't used for a long time.  We tend to get fixated on the new ones and forget about the ones which we used to love.

Well that's it for today.Hope you are all well and keeping warm.

Take care.

Things Beginning With "B"

Good morning.  Well right now the sun is shining brightly but since I am writing this post in advance, and scheduling it, I have no idea what it will be doing when it is published. It's time for another challenge at MAWTT today.  Diane Louise is our host this time and she has asked us to use things beginning with the letter "B" on our projects.

On my card you will see the colour blue, birds, blossoms, two lots of bunting, one on the image and also die cut bunting, a butterfly and a birthday banner - and if you look very closely you will see a tiny bee in the background as well as a bow on the birthday parcel.  I guess I could stretch it and call the pearls "beads" ... lol!

My Card

Recipe
7" x 5" white base card
topper - LOTV Art Pad (disc.)
bunting die - Joanna Sheen Signature dies
Noble Pierced Rectangle dies -Creative Expressions
punched butterfly
pearls - from stash

On my card you will see the colour blue, birds, blossoms, two lots of bunting, one on the image and also die cut bunting, a butterfly and a birthday banner - and if you look very closely you will see a tiny bee in the background as well as a bow on the birthday parcel.  Maybe  I could stretch it and call the pearls "beads" ... lol!  I die cut the bunting in white card and then just coloured it with Promarkers to mimic the bunting in the image.

Please pop over to the blog and see what the rest of Team A have come up with.  Hopefully you will be inspired to join in the challenge.

Take care and have a good day whatever you plan to do.
